Did you guess that the subject in yesterday’s post was a tightly closed Queen Anne’s Lace after it bloomed? If so, you were correct!

I was close (in that it grows near my pond), but I was thinking of another plant, one with burrs that I can’t name (because I don’t know it). Now that I go back and look, I think “duh!” I should have recognized that given how many photos I’ve taken of Queen Anne’s Lace.

This shot is beautiful! Great color. So funny how I hated these ‘weeds’ before I figured out how photogenic they are.
