Mm-mmh good! Can’t go wrong with chocolate ice-cream, Irish Coffee Liqueur ice-cream (too bad it’s alcohol free!) and chocolate cookies!
This is a cinnamon wheel from Papa Murphy’s Pizza. They have really good pizza, too, and this is one of those places that will prepare the pizza, and then you take it home and bake it yourself.
A few months ago we tried the cinnamon wheel….. it’s SO good, I could eat the whole thing by myself. The icing is light and fluffy, not the sticky gooey kind.
The pizza is great, but don’t come home without a cinnamon wheel!!
2 cups double-strength brewed decaf. coffee, cooled
1 Tbsp. coffee flavored liqueur, optional
1/2 cup sugar
Combine ingredients and stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour into a 13×9-inch baking pan, cover with foil or plastic wrap (I use a container with a lid). Freeze until mixture is solid, about 4 hours. It may be slightly slushy in spots.
Using a fork, scrape coffee mixture into fine crystals, breaking up any large chunks. Spoon granita into dessert glasses or small bowls and top each serving with a dollop of whipped cream.
