If I should disappear…

… then it’s probably because my computer died. It’s been making this weird noise and it’s starting to scare me. It used to be really loud when I first turned it on, until Greg blew all the dust out. It sounded better, but it’s still making a strange noise every few minutes. Sounds like a tired race car. Greg seems to think that it could be either the power supply, the fan, or both. So after trying to decide whether to fix or replace, he ordered a new computer for me yesterday but the website froze during processing and we don’t know if the order actually went through. He called, and they weren’t able to find the order, and told him to give it 24 hours to see if he gets a confirmation e-mail. Hopefully it went through, because that’s one day sooner that I’ll have the new ‘puter. In the meantime, PLEASE all keep your fingers crossed that this one will make it until the new one arrives!

congrats on the new computer…what kind are you getting??? So fun!!!! I would be careful and not turn it on or make sure you have everything backed up. Sounds similar to when my computer had hard drive failure….

  2. I’m getting a Dell… can’t remember the model… something with 530 I think?
Oh, and it better not be the harddrive, because that’s only about a year old!!
I have most of my stuff backed up. Did that Monday, but I need to back up all the new files since then (all pictures! LOL. I should make a list of all the programs, etc. that are on this one, so I won’t forget to install anything on the new one 😉

Well, this confirms that something good always comes out of something bad. Keeping my fingers crossed it keeps going until the new one arrives, good luck! When I read the title of this post, I thought maybe you would get kidnapped or something, lol! Glad it’s just a computer!

  4. Ha ha, who would want to kidnap me? LOL
Well, the original order didn’t go through, so Greg ordered it again yesterday. It’s the Inspiron 530 (customized, and with Windows XP!!! So glad I don’t have to deal with stupid Vista!!)
