Waiting For The Show

And what a show it was. Wow! We went to watch more fireworks last night. They were at our local mall and so much better than our town’s fireworks the night before! We literally had a front row seat and a lot of the fireworks were so high, it seemed they were directly above our heads. So cool!!

These were HARD to photograph!! I had to adjust the camera on the tripod for the lower and higher ones, and because they set off so many more at the same time than our town did, I had to adjust the shutter speed, too. Even so, none of the “grand finale” pictures turned out because they were too overexposed. Now that was a grand finale!!

I’m going to add some more pictures to my flickr, along with a link to the rest of the show for my friends & family flickr contacts.

Oh good, you talked Greg into going!! Sounds like a blast, love these pics. I glad you got you’re “fix”, I found it way too hard to become addicting, although, I did enjoy the challenge. Even dh took the camera trying to capture one and said “this is so addiciting”, lol! Will check out flickr for the rest!

I tried last night, but since it was neighbors doing it and you really had NO clue where the next one would be, it was impossible. These are beautiful shots! Off to check flickr!

OK, those were amazing shots! My all time favorite was one that just looked like a bright spider in this dead black sky. Those were really inspiring … now I just have to wait until Labor Day… our neighborhood looks for any reason to set off fireworks.

  4. Thanks so much! 🙂
Doreen, it didn’t take much to talk him into it. Actually I didn’t even ask.. he was stalking my blog yesterday and read that I was hoping to go, and said “so we’re going tonight?” SURE!! LOL
Amy, forget the neighbors, you should have gone somewhere! Good luck on Labor Day.. can’t wait to see what you get!
