… room to get painted, that is! This is our dining room (excuse the flashy snapshots, please). See why that color has to go?! It actually looks better in the photos than it does in real life. Sometimes the color being off can be a good thing! And no worries, that ugly lamp will find a new home in the trash as soon as we can find one to replace it with…. and Greg will find the time to change them out.

I’m kinda leaning towards some kind of green, and maybe put a darker shade on the bottom and a lighter shade on the top half of the wall, and the trim white…… or maybe some kind of brown tones? I dunno…
Decisions, Decisions
It’s time to paint another room in our house and since our dining room is this weird shade of ugly blue, it’s at the top of the list. I just can’t stand to look at it anymore and that color has to go! The thing is, I have no idea what color to paint it! We have light-colored cabinets and I don’t want them to blend into the wall, and on the other hand, I don’t want any dark colors, either. So off we went to Home Depot to look at the paint colors. There must be thousands of them, which doesn’t make this any easier. I came home with a few – for now – but may have to go back for a few more choices. This is the cabinet we have http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50119167 and the sideboard http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00117024. Both birch veneer.
