Melting

Ahhh, Texas summer! Predicted high for today: 105 F, according to our local NBC station.  Thinking cool thoughts (with the help of my cell phone wallpaper) just isn’t working.

So is Texas one of those places where summer and winter is the reverse of, say Chicago? Meaning winter is when you are out and enjoying the weather and summer is so hot you stay indoors?

GL trying to stay cool. That sounds terrible.

  2. Yes, indoors is definitely the place to be in the summer! It does get cold in the winter, but not even close to how cold it gets in Chicago. We don’t get too many days below freezing, but I do remember having to walk Melissa to school when it was 26 F.

  3. For the record: it didn’t get up to 105 F yesterday, it got up to at least 106.7F!

  5. Oh poor baby. Move to AZ where 105 is cool!

  6. Oh sure! 105 might be cool in Arizona, but it’s pretty darn boring in the desert! 😉

but at least in AZ it’s a dry heat…lol!!! Although having lived in NJ where it’s been over a 100 and humid and in AZ where it’s over 100 and dry….I’d pick the dry heat any day….

See no matter where you live there are weather evils… you just need to pick which one you want to battle with….

I have a feeling you and Ben and Jerry will be chillin’ out even more than usual! 🙂

  8. It’s a dry heat here, too, but I don’t care…. HOT is HOT. Whether you’re dripping with sweat or not.
Ben and Jerry need to leave me alone or pay for a personal trainer! 😛

LOL, Ben and Jerry or personal trainer, too funny! We’re in for it now, over 100 the next few days with the humidity, wish me luck!
