This butterfly seems to love the biggest one of our banana trees because I keep seeing come back, and always sit on the same leaf. Yesterday I was outside with my camera, when I spotted my little friend. I inched closer and closer, taking pictures, just in case he flew away. At times he would take off, flutter around my head, and then sit down on the banana leaf again, still letting me come closer and closer, until I was only inches away from him.
You have a banana tree? How freaking cool are you?! This dude’s eyes are a little icky for me. shiver

What’s so icky about his eyes?? LOL
Yes, we have several banana trees. No bananas, though.

You had to have been jumping up and down inside! When I have attempted insect shots and even thinking I may have gotten something decent, I get so excited.
This is just a gorgeous shot! The bokeh is unbelievable along with the crispness of your friend!

Wonderful shot. Like Anjeanette, I’m tripping out that you have banana trees! You’re making me homesick.

Wow, this is incredible!!! What a great catch.
What’s a banana tree w/o bananas? What grows them if your tree doesn’t?
I’m baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack, lol! Did you miss me?

The grocery store grows the bananas 😉
We have one that is supposed to grow them, but haven’t seen any signs of bananas so far. Maybe the trees have to “mature” first?? Don’t know if the other trees are supposed to get bananas, they were here when we bought the house.
So glad you’re back, Doreen! Of course I’ve missed you!!!
