Camera Strap Covers
Check them out!! I’ve seen them online for up to $23 a piece!! Um… right!! Loved the idea, though, and thought I would give it a try myself. I don’t have great sewing skills, but enough to manage a simple little strap cover 😉 I made all three of those over the past week-end. Love how they feel, too. No more rubbery patch on the back of the strap rubbing against my neck! I’m slightly addicted to making them LOL. Greg thinks I’m crazy for having all those different ones, but hey, I want to be able to switch them out! I already have another trip to the fabric store planned, to look for some fabric with soccer balls on it. It’s a must for the fast approaching fall soccer season!
I have a little bit of each fabric left, if anyone would like a strap cover. Just let me know the length (fabric part of the strap) and width (leather pieces on either end of the fabric part) of your strap, and I’ll get that done asap.
And yes, that’s my old film camera. Couldn’t get a pic of the strap with it on the DSLR unless I used the p&s…. not going to happen! LOL

wow….great job Michaela… these are so fun! I am one of the suckers that bought a funky camera strap …but I did get it for a birthday treat last year…so I justified it…lol!!!! If you find soccer material I may just have to buy one as we have fall soccer now too… Max’s first game is Sat.

I have a funky camera strap but it is not so comfortable…these look much better!!
I love the wavy pattern, you need a picture of all you fabrics so we can choose…LOL

Cheryl, I want to see your camera strap! I’ll probably go tomorrow or Friday to get the soccer fabric. Sara’s first game is this Saturday, too! 🙂
Dalia, this is all the fabric I have right now.
Anjeanette, the covers fit nice and snug, and I think the fabric strap + fabric cover keeps it from sliding around.
I’m NOT taking credit for the idea!! Like I said, I saw them online and decided that I can make them myself 😉

Die sehen ja toll aus! Wußte gar nicht, daß es sowas gibt. Hier habe ich die noch nicht gesehen! Toll, daß Du die selber genäht hast. Fußball-Design hört sich witzig an und ist sehr passend für die Spiele!!

Oh are you kidding me?! I’ve had my eye on some camera straps for a while but couldn’t believe how spendy they were. I may be late in the game, do you have any material left? Better yet, can I ship you material to do one? LOL

Terri, yes, I still have fabric left… I haven’t had time to make any yet.
I was going to take some pictures of what I have (went shopping again on Friday! LOL) and post them on a new page on this blog. I’m hoping in the next couple of days.
And sure, you can ship me the material, too!
