Rough Play
One last soccer pic until spring… I forgot I had this one. Are 5-year-olds supposed to be playing like that??

Hey, it’s a competitive world out there these days 🙂

It is! But I’m pretty sure that pushing, shoving and tripping is a bit illegal in soccer. LOL
That red & black team was WILD, and this girl here was the worst of the bunch.

I saw some that behavior this year too..and I didn’t like it all. Some of the kids were getting tramples…what ever happened to playing for the fun of playing.

love the pink soccer ball! Wait, you’d think it would get better as the kids get older but even then there are some nasty players… looks like S has her under control though!

Hmm, I don’t know but too me this pic looks like Sara is holding her back, lol!! Good for her!
There’s always nasty kids, that’s for sure but I think it does get a bit better when they’re older b/c of the penalties that occur if caught.
If saw Daniel try to trip a kid one game, it was balant, they were no where near the ball, the kid is running and daniel slipped his foot out. I was pissed! You bet he got a stern lecture about it.
I think some kids are born aggressive/mean……….that would never, ever cross Buddy’s mind to do something like that, lol!
I’ve been meaning to thank you for sending the soccer pics. They were so fun to look out. 800? WOW. Will you print those? Did you sell some of these to the team? If not, you should have!

Sara is definitely holding her own out o the soccer field, and is not afraid to get in on the action. Not sure if Sara is trying to hold her back, or if that girl grabbed her and Sara was trying to get away. Needed a video camera for that one! LOL
I’m not so sure if it gets better as they get older. Some coaches actually teach the players to be pushy, KNOWING it’s against the rules. And most kids, esp. the little ones don’t know what all the rules are. Most of the refs are still kids (12? and up) and don’t always step in.
No, I didn’t sell any of the pics to the team. I did enable print ordering and they can order whatever they want at lab prices. I don’t have the type of zenfolio account where you can set your own prices anyway. Of course they’ll be stuck with 3.5×5 pics (because I mainly took them for ME and that’s the size I like for MY prints), except for the team picture, that they can get as a 5×7 or 8×10.
Glad you enjoyed the pics, Doreen.
If anyone else is interested in seeing them, let me know and I’ll e-mail you the link and password.
