crop happens…

A favorite drink in Germany, on cold winter nights. Glühwein is red wine with spices added, and you drink it hot.
We found this at our local World Market a few weeks back, but saved it until our anniversary last Saturday.

M, I am really enjoying learning and see about your German traditions. My mom’s mom was German and even though my mom was born in the US she lived in Germany for a few years when she was very young…and only for a short time…she doesn’t have the memories like you do.

  4. I wonder how similar it is to Gloog from Denmark? Very cool.

  5. I adore World Market. I was acutally watching on The Food Network the other day on how to make Gluhwein. I can’t wait to give it a try. 🙂

I’m also wondering if it was as good as your remember. Some things I dream about from Pittsburgh (and it hasn’t been that long since we left) weren’t as great as I had been making them out to be in my head.

I am a red wine fan, so I probably would like this.
