Last Minute Ornaments

These were inspired by the ornament Kristie posted on her blog. I thought it was absolutely adorable, so we gave them a try, too.  Of course had to buy some ornaments, but thankfully we were able to find these beautiful blue ones.  We got them done just in time to hang them on the tree before heading out to dinner on Christmas Eve.

Sara’s (I painted the details for her)

Melissa’s (she did her ornament all by herself)

  4. You want Christmas stories?
Well, it was a quiet Christmas. Just the four of us. The kids were thrilled with their gifts, but Sara was a little sad that she didn’t get a “dolly with brown hair”. I told her that maybe Santa couldn’t find a really cute one. She’s going to take the gift card to Target that her Aunt Daneen gave her and look for a dolly.
Melissa wasn’t quite as thrilled about the cell phone as I thought she would be (maybe she was too much in shock? LOL). She really wanted a Wii, but I told her many, many times that she would not be getting one… and I think she thought I was kidding. I did find one in the Wal-Mart ad, glued it to a piece of cardboard and cut it out. It was waiting in an evelope for her on Christmas morning. Thankfully she thought it was funny and didn’t start crying or throwing a fit 😉 I tolod her to go hook it up and she said she didn’t know how… Greg said TAPE, so I grabbed the sctotch tape and we taped it to the little power light on the front of the TV. Now we’ll just have to get some batteries for the wii-mote and we’ll be ready to have some fun! LOL
Me… I got what I wanted (new canera bag) but didn’t get what I REALLY wanted (Nikon D300), but I knew that there wasn’t a chance in h*ll that Greg would surprise me with it. *sigh*
I called the boys yesterday and they seemed to have a nice Christmas, too.

These came out GREAT! I am going to try them next week with my kids. Not in time for Christmas, but at least before the year is up.

  8. Thanks everyone!
Cheryl, this is the bag I got
Not exactly a Tracy Joy, but it will do just fine. I tried it out today and love it! I can fit my camera + 60mm lens attached, the 80-400mm lens, and either my speedlite or kit lens. And there’s room for my wallet, cell phoen and keys.
