New Toy

Santa brought Melissa a call phone for Christmas….. although he probably should have brought her a camera instead, because that’s all she’s been using it for so far. She’s even letting Sara take pictures with it, and they had a blast, snapping away in the car on the way to Uncle Richie’s house the other day.
And yes, it was December 26th, and warm enough to be outside in a T-shirt (I think it was around 78F).

Oh yes, now Sara seems to think that Santa will bring her a cell phone next Christmas!

I think I am a tad jealous. I don’t have a cell phone anymore 😦 I am also jealous of that weather. I wouldn’t be bothered if I didnt see snow ever again.

We must be in Texas……….our weather was 65 degrees yesterday, bah! I want xmas weather. I love seeing people christmas pics!!!! Has she made any phone calls yet? Buddy loves to play around with his 2, pic then distorts them, loves to get ringtones, etc. The novelty will wear off soon.

  4. Lessons from mom? Haha!! She won’t let me teach her anything πŸ˜› Brat!
Kristie, I’d rather have snow!!! Christmas just isn’t the same without it (or at least a chance of snow).
Doreen, did Buddy get his for Christmas, too? What did you get him? We decided to go with a TracPhone. It’s cheaper than upgrading the plan we have for mine (work pays for Greg’s cell phone), and hers comes with free double minutes for the life of the phone.
As far as I know, she didn’t make any phone calls yet. Greg called her after he first got it all set up, and her Aunt Di alled her, too, while they were in the same room. LOL

LOL My oldest DS has a cell and he uses it for the camera and what little games he has on it. Never mind the PSP, Wii, or Xbox. LOL

My 10 year old daughter in law has a stinkin 400 dollar palm trio. We did not buy it for her, I think it’s ridiculous. I understand cell phones for kids, heck my 11 year old brother has one, but seriously you don’t need a 400 dollar phone.

    Okay rant over. πŸ™‚

Kids are so funny. It’s nice of her to share with Sara and let her take pics!

  8. Terri, you have a 10 year old daughter-in-law?? I hope you were talking about your stepdaughter πŸ˜‰
This is a CHEAP phone, I think iut was $30? I totally agree that kids don’t need $400 phones! That’s just crazy. That’s too much phone, even for me, I wouldn’t know what to do with all those gadgets LOL

  11. I don’t have a $400 phone either… A uses his phone mainly for texting…last year for Hanukkah one of his gifts was an upgraded texting plan! So glad she is having fun and sharing with her sis!

  12. Amber, let’s stick to the home phone for now. She can call Melissa any time on that.
Greg said he would buy Melissa a new 60-min. (which will be 120 min. with the double minutes)card every two months, so those minutes will have to last her.
