2009/56: Doodle Bug

Well, that’s what I get for scheduling a few posts in advance….. I have to post a bonus!
Sara brought me her MagnaDoodle yesterday to show me what she wrote on it.  All by herself, no help at all! She’s the sweetest little girl in the world ♥

Translation of what she wrote:
I love my mom  you are the cutest  I love snuggling with you!
(She always tells me “I love you mommy, you’re the cutest”…. but she tells daddy the same thing!!)

  8. Isn’t she just the sweetest? ♥
I’m glad I took a pic of it, too, because Melissa erased it the next morning. But not before Sara copied it on a piece of paper first.
Then she brought a paper home from school that said that her mommy and daddy are “spashl” (special).

  9. I love the phonetic writing stage – soo cute. My almost 5 yr old is getting close and I can see some notes like this in my future. She’s always telling me that I’m the best mom ever! I know I’m her only mom, but it still makes me feel great. When she saw this pic, she asked if it was her older sister’s first writing. I love digital cameras and the fact that we can save forever those special messages and art.

  15. Adorable!

I still carry a note tucked into my wallet that my sone wrote when he was just 4 years old. His babyish handwriting says:

“Don’t cry Mummy, I love you.” – then there were hundreds of little kisses.

He pushed the note under the bedroom door when I was lying on the bed crying.

His daddy had just left us; we got divorced as a result.
