2009/159: Pick ‘N Edom
We went to Edom, TX to pick blackberries and blueberries Sunday morning. Greg kicked the poor girls out of bed at 6 am and we were on the road by about 6:30 am…. and back home around 1:30 pm.
We picked a LOT of blackberries, and a TON of blueberries! We’ll probably be sick of them by the time we eat them all. But it was fun!
Ohhh! I’m so jealous, lol!
It’s too hot here for blueberries, though they grow them down south.
They look good enough to dive into! 🙂

omg, that bucket is huge! It looks like one that you’d stomp your feet in, lol! Where’s the pic of the girls/you picking them?

Coming up, Doreen… I only had time to edit the one.

great pic…we have never gone blueberry picking…what do you plan do with all them…make pie? jelly? muffins?

Cheryl, we’re planning to just eat them. No pies, muffins or jelly (yuck to all of them! I like blueberries plain). If Greg wants pie/muffins/pancakes, then HE can make them… and eat them.

Great shot. My girls would be so jealous. I only like them frozen!

We are just getting to strawberry season in upstate NY and looking forward to some strawberry shortcake.
You can send me up a blueberry pie if that will help ya. 🙂

Sorry Scott, I’m not baking any pies. It’s too stinkin’ hot to turn on the oven.

I used to do this with my mom. While I must at admit at the time I could not stand doing it, I now look back fondly!
I hope we get more pics of what you make with all of them.
