2010/010: Indiana Snow, Part 1

Day after Christmas 2009. We finally made it to our first destination (the Burger King in the town where Cameron & Nikki live) at 7pm, just in time for dinner! We sat and talked for a while and then headed about 30 more minutes further north, to our hotel. Took our luggage to our room and then went outside to play in the snow. It was cold outside, and the snow was powdery, but it was FUN! Sara had to make a snow angel, too.

How excited were the girls? I know you only moved to TX a few years back, but did they remember playing in the snow?

  7. They loved it, Amy! They couldn’t wait to get out and play in the snow! That’s the first thing they wanted to do after breakfast, and they would have been out there ALL DAY if we had let them.
We’be been in TX since Oct. 1997… Melissa was a little over a year old. She does remember playing in the snow, when we got those whopping 2.5 inches on Valentine’s Day 2004 here in Dallas, but this was the first time that Sara saw real snow.

I would probably be “obsessed” too if I lived somewhere where it never snowed. LOL So glad you all got to play in it. It is so fun when you can play in it and then leave it! :).
Love Sara’s angel! You guys look so cute in your winter clothes, meanwhile I am staring at my flipflops …

  9. “White crap” *Gasp* How can people not like snow? I love these pics, looks like so much fun. Keep posting more snow pictures for me please. Oh and can you sneak me a long with you when you go to Colorado. LOL

  10. It’s still too cold here for flipflops, but I’m sure I’ll be breaking mine out in a couple of months.
Amber, I have LOTS more snow pics, so stay tuned! And sure, come to Colorado with us! You can have the back seat and we’ll strap the kids to the roof so we won’t have to listen to them arguing/fighting/whining! (Just kidding, I would never strap the kids to the roof!)

  11. I love angels. Snow angels too.
This winter weather is really good for something. It makes the children play outside.

  12. Great snow angel photograph. If I laid down to make a snow angel right now I would never be found!!! Hopefully it will warm enough this week to melt some of the many inches we had!! I love the snow, it’s these zero degree days that are tough to handle!

  13. Beautiful snow photos! My girls are so sad they missed the snow while we were on vacation. I may have to drive them to the mountain.
