This technically counts as a vacation picture, too, since I took it on Christmas Day, literally on our way out the door, when we left for Indiana.

lol, I was thinking the same thing as Blue. So pretty……….is that something that blooms once a year?

Yes, the cactus was still alive, but this was the only flower on it (and that was wilted when we got back).
Not sure if it only blooms once a year, but I think so?

Lovely photo. They typically only bloom once a year but sometimes the conditions are just right and you will get a mystery bloom every now an again.
