2010/062: Then And Now

This was Friday morning…

And this was Saturday morning…

and by Sunday morning, the yard had turned into a muddy mess around a small lake where the cactus and plum tree are.

  1. From pretty to yuck. I think the whole US is going to be saying that by the end of March. The snow and rain over the last month is going to have to go somewhere.

Don’t you wish it could go from Friday morning to April? 🙂

  5. Incredible difference, Michaela. I can now see why you like the snow…the crappy part doesn’t hang around long enough for you to hate it! 🙂

    • Nah. I’ve loved snow even when I lived in Germany, Indiana and Maryland 🙂

The cactus now has fruit that we could eat or make jelly out of. The fruit is ripe when the color is purple. In the spring the “fruit” is green, with yellow flowers on top. The flowers fall off and the fruit turns purple in the fall/winter.

I love the thaw out. There is something so beautiful about the patches of snow and peeking out of life from under it.
