2010/132: Indian Head Penny

From 1905! Sara found it in the coinstar. Needless to say, I traded her a much newer penny for it.

  4. It’s in pretty bad condition (as you can see) and it’s not worth much. Less than $2 TOPS!!
But, if there are any filthy-rich people out there read this, who are looking for something to waste… Imean SPEND… their money on, I would be willing to part with it for $10,000 (pocket change, right?). Contact me if this penny is a must-have for your coin collection 😉

Doreen, nope, I only gave her a penny.

Very cool! I bet the coinstar wouldn’t accept it, right? I imagine the weight is different than today’s pennies.

  7. Interesting coins, I like the texture. That’s from 1905, wow…did you watch Lost last night…after each show I’m still left with so many questions. Can’t wait til the finale.

    • Of course I watched LOST! 😉 I feel the same way… they need to get serious about ANSWERING all the questions (like they promised!) instead of leaving us with more!

  8. Really neat! This coin was “born” 2 years before my grandma (who passed away a few years ago).

  9. Very cool find. I don’t know if I’d want to polish it or keep it in its current state. Oh, the stories those things could tell.
