2010/158: On A Diet

Who says you can’t have your cake ice-cream and eat it, too?
My ice-cream on a diet. I bought little 3-ounce cups and fill them with ice-cream… oh heck, I cram as much in as I possibly can, and then pile some on top, too!  And that’s all the ice-cream I allow myself to eat per day.
Before that, well, I took the container out of the freezer and didn’t stop eating until half of it was gone. Now one pint of ice-cream lasts almost a week.

And just in case Starbucks finds their way onto my blog (like Hershey’s did) and sees that I chose their ice-cream for this post: You’re welcome! 😉

    • It is!! I’ve tried the Starbucks Strawberries & Cream (non-coffee) ice-cream, too, and it’s really good, too!

  2. That is very frugal of you. Next time get small cups. 😉

    • What are you talking about? They ARE small cups (3 ounces, smallest they have). This is only a pint of ice-cream, not a half-gallon or gallon 😉

  3. LOL! Looks like you might have to resort to the Dixie bathroom cups! This is a great idea. Altho, I find, not buying the ice cream in the first place works for me. 😉

    • Yes, not buying the ice-cream in the first place works sometimes, but then I would be looking for something else to snack on.
These pretty much are Dixie cups, just the generic kind 🙂

  4. Ooooh, I was to try that kind! Back when I was in high school I used to eat ice cream twice a day. Now I don’t usually buy it, but I still love it. Mmmmmm.

  5. I didn’t know Starbucks made ice cream! Interesting. But then, I’m a Dunkin Donuts girl anyway! Do they have Dunkin in Texas?

    • Yup, found it at our grocery store. Pretty sure Super Target (if you have those) carries it, too. I only like their ice-cream, and really don’t see what’s so great about their coffee. They’re way too overpriced, too.
We do have Dunkin Donuts here, but none are that close to our house.

  6. Okay now I’m really hungry now, I was just thinking about eating a cookie now that looks even better 🙂

    • I’ll take ice-cream over a cookie anytime! 😉
