No. 1 is my fav, I love the background……is that another “backdrop” ?

    • Thanks Doreen. The background in #1 is the floor (laminate) in my living room, and the background in #2 is the wall in my living room.

  2. Some real nice shots there, with some amazing colour and details in those stamen thingy’s… Just imagine how good these would be with a Canon.. lol.. Sorry, couldn’t resist… πŸ˜‰

    • Thank you so much!
(And it’s OK, I know you’re just jealous of my Nikon πŸ˜‰ Couldn’t resist either!)

Ooo the warm sunlight makes them so intriguing.

    • Thanks, Amy. There was no sunlight, just the speedlite πŸ™‚
I do have red curtains in my living room, maybe those gave them some warmth?

  4. Oh boy! Look what I’ve done! I’ve brought the Canon vs. Nikon arguement here! LOL!
I was just going to say how I liked the 2nd shot and how the blue wall was a nice contrast with the yellow, when I discovered the debate continuing! πŸ˜‰
(Nikon has some very nice features I’m attracted to, but the allure of the live view on Canon is very strong to a P&S user like me!)

    • LOL It’s all in good fun πŸ™‚
I wouldn’t worry too much about the live view, because I honestly think that you’ll be using the view finder a lot more. Live view is good when you’re at a low or odd angle, and it’s difficult to look through the viewfinder. I’m not even sure if you can still adjust your settings while in live view mode or if you have to pre set them. Be sure you check that out next time you go compare the cameras.
