2010/214: Minus Fifty

Pounds, that is!
The jeans I’m wearing holding up are a size 14 and they fit perfectly less than a year and a half ago, and now I fit into a size 4 … unless I shop at Target, I can fit into a size 2, depending on the clothing brand.

And a little bonus for a few certain whineyΒ πŸ˜‰ friends of mine (you know who you are!).. a picture of me in the dress

    • Thanks Tracy! Trust me, you wouldn’t want to see the “before”! And I could definitely use some more toning.

Lady YOU LOOK AMAZING!! I think you must be even smaller than you were 15 years ago when I met you. And you in the dress…you almost look tall because you are so skinny. Very inspirational. I know it was lots of work that got you there so Congratulations!!!

    2. August, 2010 at 07:43

    • Thanks Anjeanette. I think I’m about the same as way back then, give or take a couple pounds (I still have some skirts from then, and they fit again!)
Hey, what do you mean, I almost look tall? 5’6″ isn’t THAT short!

You look so good Michaela! It is not an easy feat (as many of us know), so you really should feel very proud of how dedicated you have been and happy with how you look!

  11. Wow,I’m so happy for you. You look great! How did you do it?

I don’t think I’ve ever worn anything less than a size 9. I skipped right over those smaller sizes. I just started eating right again yesterday. I’ll be 50 years old in 10 weeks and I’ve said for a few years that I do not want to be “50 & fat”. Obviously, I’ve kept up my dominant trait of being a procrastinator. I hope I can do as good as you have done. Congratualtions!!!!!!!

  12. Thanks everyone!
Jan, I walk! I started walking at a local park last year, and joined a gym when it got too hot out. I *try* to go every day, but sometimes it doesn’t work out, and it’s definitely easier when the kids are in school.
Portion control is a big thing, too, and keeping the junk food in moderation. (Much easier doing that, than not eating junk food at all. At least for me!)

    3. August, 2010 at 10:36

  13. WOW! You are so good looking. congratulations!

I remember when you started your walks, last year, -I am impressed. You have reached your goal by, in fact, just change little things in everyday life, like walks, eating less, and be more aware of the difference of food and junkfood. Moderate is a smart thing to do, otherwise one would think about how to get some all the time.

Why donΒ΄t you make a coaching webpage with advices and plans? You could earn some money by hosting ads and other stuff – and, you could help others to get started. You have the coveted will power.
