2010/221: Two For One
Took two Benadryl (allergy pills) to eat this one cherry. The Benadryl didn’t really help and I still got an itchy throat, but it was the best cherry in a loong time! Probably because it was the only cherry in a loong time 😉

Your forbidden fruit. 🙂 Sounds like it was worth it.

What was the occasion? Or did you just have to have a cherry? This is a gorgeous cherry pic 🙂

No special occasion… Greg (meanie!) bought cherries, and I got tired of watching him and the kids eat them.

Lovely picture! SO sorry you have allergies! I am fortunate that I can pretty much eat anything without an allergy in sight!

I’m sorry for your cherry-allergy – but the photo is fine, how about other berries? – I have heaps of blackcurrants right now in my garden and I am happy that I can enjoy eating them (and all the other berries and fruits in my garden)

The only berries I can’t eat are blackberries. I LOOOOVE currants!!! Red, black, AND white! Sadly it’s almost impossible to find them here in the US, at least fresh berries. I’ve seen jelly, but that’s just not the same.
There was ONE time a few years ago, that I found red currants at a store.

Years ago when I worked at a living history museum here in MA, we grew currents. We did cooking demonstrations with them and made a jam with currents and a cidery-juice drink with them that all the employees loved. Its name escapes me at the moment.

Nice sharp details on the photo. Such a shame about the allergy, I couldn’t imagine not having my yearly fix.

At least I can still eat strawberries 🙂
