2010/283: Wedding Day

My nephew is getting married this afternoon…

… and we all get to dress up! Only problem is, I’m not a high heels kinda girl and even though Iย own a pair, I’m not used to walking in them. So I’ve been walking around the house in high heels for the past few days, to (hopefully!) make sure I don’t trip over myself today.

  1. Congratulation to your nephew and his comming wife.
It sounds like we prefer the same type of footwear, comfortable shoes, solid planted on the ground?
Good idea to practice before the big day, unless your feet have got enough already. Hopefully not. ๐Ÿ™‚

Congrats to your nephew and what lovely captures here. I have to giggle because I own those pair of shoes. I wear them every other day. I hope you get used to walking in them today ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. I love weddings! I heard that today was a popular day for wedding because of the date: 10/10/10 (probably because it would be easy for husbands to remember, LOL!)
I hope you and the family had a great day, and maybe we’ll get to see a few pics.

  6. Great photos. I don’t like wearing heels either. The first photo looks like it would be a great Wedding card…nice shoes ๐Ÿ˜‰

  7. Congratulations with your nephew and his wife.
10-10-10 was a popular date for marriage in Denmark too. Many town halls were open on this special date. Usually people get married on Saturdays.
-Hope your feet are ok today ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Thanks everyone. The wedding was beautiful (got suckered into taking pictures, too!) but the best part was after the ceremony, when I was able to kick off those heels and change into flip-flops! ๐Ÿ˜‰
Amber, that’s so funny that you have those same shoes!
Consuelo, the first one was their wedding gift. It was in a really pretty decorated box and I HAD to get a picture of it before I wrapped it all up.

I took lots of pictures, and I will share a few at some point (if I get permission), and there’s even one or two with me in it, because I tried to get a pic for our Christmas card this year. Don’t know yet if any of them turned out, though.
It was a looong day, too. Woke up at 3:30 am and didn’t get to bed until almost 10:30pm.

That first shot is beautiful! I hear ya on the shoes but I don’t usually wear heals because it puts me over 6′.
