Tracy, it wasn’t the center of a flower. It was some kind of plant with buds like these everywhere.

I love it!
If someone wants their first macro lens that’s reasonable yet good- what would you recommend?

Georgia, I love my 60mm macro!
You can also go with a set of extension tubes that you can use with any lens, and get some really nice macro shots (but much cheaper than with a true macro lens). That’s what Melissa uses for her macro shots.
