A rose petal! Ah that makes much more sense. With the cool-ness of the shot and the background, I just thought “stone” without really looking closely.

Thank you, truels. To make it snow on your blog, go to your dashboard and look for “Appearance/Extras”. Make sure “Show snow falling on my blog” is checked.
