2011/010: It Snowed! (Part 1)
I know I promised flower pictures, but it snowed here in the Dallas area yesterday, and how can I not post snow pictures for the next two weeks? Just kidding, I will only torture you with snow pictures for the next three days, and I will keep my promise and post a flower bonus this afternoon.
We couldn’t find any snow penguins (here is a larger view), just two little snow men. The first one was built by Melissa and set on top of our privacy fence so he could look out into the neighborhood. Sara placed hers next to our back porch. She was trying to make him a little hat out of pebbles, but then changed her mind.
Mmmm…I thought everything was bigger in Texas. These are little snowpeople. 🙂 A neighborhood watch snowman!

So happy for you that it snowed! The kids must have been so happy. Those penguins are genius!

you know what’s sad.. we’ve had several little snow showers here.. and I have yet to even bother making a snowman this winter. My greatest accomplishment was a snow goat I made. And I think I have made a bear too. I will have to find those. Looks like everyone enjoyed the snow. Thanks for sharing

I would love to see your snow goat and bear! 🙂

lol @ Scott..I have to agree 😉 see, wishes do come true….is there any left?

Yeah well, with better snowfall totals we could have built bigger snow men. We MAY have gotten a whopping 2 inches.
Still some left, too, since temps just kept dropping. It will probably start melting tomorrow, when the predicted high is supposed to be 36 degrees (30 today, and by Friday we’re supposed to be back around 50).

The first shot is precious! Yeah, if we only got 2 inches of snow I’d probably like it, too. 😉
We got some snow on Saturday (3 inches or so on top of what we got in blizzard) and are expecting a shellacking on Wednesday (10+ inches)!

Haha… Love your fence based snow lookout… I guess he’s keeping an eye out for the penguin invasion force huh… I bet he has trouble putting anything down though huh… cos his hands and arms are so sticky… ummmmm… Yeah ok, I’ll get my coat… 😉
Thanks for the plug btw… 🙂
