2011/018: Mandarin Orange (1)

I knew yesterday’s What Am I? was too easy… I should have converted to b&w to make it a little more difficult.

Playing with food isn’t always a bad thing πŸ˜‰

  1. Ha! Never would have guessed it yesterday, if you’d posted #4. Very effective!

    • Really? Shoot. Guess I chose the wrong one!
Oh well… wouldn’t want to make it TOO difficult πŸ˜‰

There’s a monthly contest on Boston.com, their amateur photography site, RAW, where they run a competition each month and January’s is, “What is it?” (or something like that) You should enter your orange.

We have another snow day! The kids will be going to school all summer.

    • Thanks for the info., I’ll have to check it out. Might have an even better one to enter tomorrow.

Another snow day? Lucky you! πŸ™‚

  5. Fantastic series of shots! I kept thinking yesterday it was some kind of orange scrubber sponge even tho my gut said ‘orange’. The white pith looked so soft and fuzzy and very ‘orange unlike’. Nice job! πŸ™‚

  6. Oh phoo! Somehow I missed coming to your site yesterday and didn’t get to guess. Huh, wonder how I did that???
Love these crisp, clear close-ups! Would you share lens/setting info?

I really love the last one……..so abstract, that’s the kind of macro pic I see hanging in a kitchen. Nice job!

  8. How great are these… and you’ve convinced me that it doesn’t necessarily matter if its grim outside when you have a macro to play with… Really must dust mine off next time it rains…

    • Thank you!
Why wait? Dust it off now! πŸ™‚
