2011/069: After A Spring Rain
We had a couple of quick rain showers on Tuesday afternoon, and when it was all over, the sun finally came out again, after too many cloudy dreary days. I grabbed my camera and headed out into our backyard. Good thing I did, because by Wednesday morning the wind had blown most of the plum blossoms off the trees.

Love that first one, DOF and comp are great. Can’t wait till some of the same are blooming here. We got a good inch or more of rain sunday, and are fixing for more than that through today… I know we need rain, but not like this. Hopefully the flooding will be minimal. Thanks for sharing.

Spring? Rain? We do have rain today but your Texas spring is a bit earlier than my New York one. Love the last one with the bokeh and razor sharp focus on the water droplets.

No signs of life here…sigh.
The water drops on the grill cover are an interesting capture…an alien-looking landscape!

I love seeing your spring! Confirms that it is indeed heading this way (someday).

Well I’m guessing if you have (had) blossom, then it’s a tiny bit warmer there… Those little droplets of water sure do add some great details..

I love redbuds. They are one of my favorite signs of spring (and got me Freshly Pressed last year, which was a blast). Beautiful photos of the plum and redbud blossoms.
It’s a riot of blooms and blossoms here in Florida, but I hear we’re getting 6 inches of snow at home tonight so I’m guessing there are not too many similar signs of spring there yet.

Sooo Sooooo nice… and the waterdrops on the grill are lovely too. Well seen! Our weather here is so strange that the plum trees got confused and bloomed in December and withered away quickly. grrr. Sad that the wind blew away all the blossoms.
