2011/147: Bonus – Ready For The Award
Last week we received an invitation to the Awards for Excellence at Melissa’s school. The awards were given out yesterday evening, and Melissa received one for A-Honor Roll for the entire 2010/2011 school year. We are so proud of her!
(But what I really want to know is, what happened to my little girl??? She’s looking so grown up these days!)

She does look grown up, don’t you hate it when they do that. I tried to give my 10 yr old a hug at school today (never mind that I just gave her one 2 minutes earlier) and she ran away!

Yes, HATE it! She bought the skirt with her own money, and I talked her into choosing this one over another one she liked, and I think she was pleasantly surprised when she tried it on… but then she said something about heels and I told her “You are NOT getting heels!!!” LOL
(You should have seen all those girls at the awards, wearing these extremely high heels, and they could barely even walk in them.)
I know how you feel about the hug…when I drop Melissa off at school in the morning I tell her I love her and all she says is “yeah”. Darn kids, right? 😉

Thanks. I was just looking at pictures from 2-3 years ago and couldn’t believe how much younger she looked then (Sara, too). Sad 😦

I bet proud doesn’t even come close… How great is that… Congrats to her for all her effort… If you ever figure a way to stop them from growing up so quick though, then please let me know… lol..
