2011/151: Winecup (1)
We were driving around last week-end, running errands, when Melissa spotted these pretty little flowers in a field next to the road. Greg found a safe spot to pull over, and told her she could get out and pick some of them. She didn’t want to, so Greg did!
Such exquisite color and detail. Very nice!!

how big are they? I’m always fascinated and confused by how much a macro shot is magnified, lol. great find mel!

When they’re fully open, they’re about 2 or 2 1/4 inches in diameter.

LOL… Now what you should REALLY have photographed was him beside the road picking flowers… Think of the blackmail value in that shot… 😉
Do like the colour in these though, but shhhh, don’t tell anyone… ‘k… 🙂

Haha, unfortunately I didn’t have my camera with me. Might have to change that!
I have a couple of good blackmail shots, but they’re not exactly suitable for a family blog LOL
Sure, I won’t tell 😉

You need to go back and photograph the field! Such a pretty color!

It wasn’t much of a field, at least there weren’t a lot of flowers. Just a few here and there.
