2011/194: Air Delight Hershey Kisses

They are so light and airy, they float right out of the wrapper! πŸ˜‰
These taste just like the regular milk chocolate Hershey Kisses, but with a lighter texture (less chocolate for the same price?)

By the way, there was no “photoshopping” involved, other than the basic picture editing stuff, like sharpen, brighten, contrast adjustment, etc.
Anyone who can figure out how I did this, wins the Smartypants Award (aka bragging rights). If no one figures it out, I may or may not give away my secret.

  1. Hmmm….you dropped it and used a fast shutter speed to freeze the action. How many drops did it take to get this one?

    • LOL, none! I didn’t drop it (didn’t want to mess up the wrapper πŸ˜‰ )

  2. I think you pinned it to a white cardboard?

  3. I’m guessing you somehow glued the hershey kiss to the vertical white background?? Whatever it is you did to make this kiss levitate – it’s oh so very creative. Love it!!!

  4. Clever!

My guess is you shot this looking downward, meaning, what is seen as the ‘background’ was actually laying flat with a vertical piece ( the ‘floor’ of the shot) attached. All candy pieces were then strategically placed on their sides.

  5. I agree with Milkayphoto, it is on its side.

  7. I don’t know how you did it, but it looks cool however it was done!

  8. Carsten came pretty close! The background is a white posterboard. I stuck a toothpick through the posterboard, then stuck the Hershey Kiss onto the toothpick.

    • Does this mean that I can have the Smartypants Award?

  9. I already read the comments so I know the secret, but if I had guessed, my guess would have been similar to Tracy’s.

    Very cleverly done. πŸ™‚

  11. I’m going with a tiny white prop box to blend perfectly w/the white background. Pretty amazing however you did it. Oh, and did I mention now I’m craving Hershey kisses?????
