Homecomings are so special. Even when all the weeds have exploded all over the yard πŸ™‚

    • Lucky for us, we don’t have to worry about weeds…. our yard is almost completely brown.
This was taken in Indiana during our vacation.

    Woohoo! Lovely dof.

Can you believe that last night it was downright cold here? At least if you were sitting at a baseball game.

    • Can you send some of that cold? It’s still sooooooooo HOT here! 106 F yesterday. Ugh!

  3. Yay for homecoming! Did the girls squeal and clap with joy?

    • LOL not exactly. We did keep it a secret, so they had NO idea! Sara was already home from school and I asked Greg to text me when he was parked in the “driveway” (aka grass in front of the fence), and I used taking the recycling out as an excuse to go outside… and then I walked back into the house with Greg and said “SURPRISE!!!”. You should have seen the look on Sara’s face, like she couldn’t believe what she was seeing πŸ™‚
Later, Greg came with us to pick up Melissa from school, and when she saw him in the passenger seat, she had the biggest smile on her face! He got out to wish her a happy birthday and she even hugged him… in front of all her friends!!! Best bithday surprise ever… even better that he’s back for good (fingers crossed, because there’s a chance that there’s another strike), and not just for a few days.
