2011/267: Italian Car Fest, Part 5 – Best In Show
1966 Ferrari Dino 206sp
Wouldn’t mind taking that one for a spin π While I was there, I overheard someone say that this is a $2 million car!

Nice as it is, if I had $2 million to spend.. well, I’d go for something I could at least fit my camera gear in too (and that had carpets).. lol.. Mind you, I’d not turn down the chance of taking it for a spin either… Real nice shots Michaela.. π

If I had $2 million to spend on a car, I could afford to hire someone to follow me with my camera gear π
Thanks, Brian.

you’d think for 2 million bucks, the interior would be a bit nicer π congrats on freshly pressed!

Well, it IS a race car, guess they’re not big on nice interiors π Gotta keep the weight down to make them fly faster π
Thanks, Doreen, this is very exciting.

Sweet ride, even though it is just on a race track π Auto Hotness!!

I would love a ride in this beautiful car – more fun than in (my) old Volvo π

Hey there, your link didn’t work. $2 mil (gasp!).

What link? The one to the gallery?? It just worked for me….
You can click the link to my Zenfolio galleries on the sidebar (almost at the top), and then click on the Italian Car Fest album. That should work. I hope!

The Dino was always the controversial Ferrari. It was not a 12-cylinder and the Dino name was in place of calling it a Ferrari. That was a ridiculous notion, of course. They were mass-produced (relatively speaking) and a bachelor in my father’s office bought one. I idolized the guy, managing to get a couple of rides out of him to high-school football games. It was nice pulling up in the Dino and he always made a show of it. Didn’t help me with the girls, though…

Aww, darn, where was that Mini back then, when you needed it, right? Oh wait… that wouldn’t have helped, either π

My Dad, husband and kids went to the NASCAR race this weekend. I can tolerate a lot of things but I’ve been once and never again! Do I see changing leaves in pic #1?
26. September, 2011 at 08:40
Thankfully there was no racing here… I wouldn’t go to a race either.
Changing leaves? Probably shrivelled up from the lack of rain.
