crop happens…

2011/273: Mother-Daughter Fun (2)

My little photographer taking a picture of….

… a little daisy. (Cropped and edited by me)

She almost looks like she knows what she’s doing! πŸ˜‰ She was playing with the focusing ring, trying to figure out what it does, since it didn’t make the lens move like the zoom ring.

Β And then she got me! Not quite in the frame, but that’s what you call “creative cropping” right? πŸ˜‰

Then she got a picture of me, taking a picure of….

…. the basketball hoop. (No, it would not have been funny if a basketball had come flying through it at that moment!)

  1. Oh, but you need the basketball to complete the story. πŸ˜‰ She is going great and looks like she figured out the focus ring.

    • Gee, thanks a lot! πŸ˜› πŸ˜‰

She didn’t figure out the focus ring, it’s a complete mystey to her πŸ™‚ I did have it on manual assist/auto focus, and she never looked through the camera when she turned the ring. I thought it was funny when she put it back to where she thought it was before she played around with it, and I told her not to worry because it wouldn’t stay there anyway.

I like all her shots! In fact that is one great picture of you. I like creative crops myself. It’s boring to see the same old shot. She likes to mix it up a bit!

    • Thanks, Amy. I don’t think she really planned that shot… but those unplanned often turn out the best πŸ™‚

  6. Sara is doing very well! My 13 year old son likes to use my camera – and I love his very different approach and eye for photo objects around us. I must soon use some of his photos on my blog!

    • Thank you, Truels. That would be fun, if you shared some of your son’s photography on your blog.
