2011/284: Chocolate Wine
I’ve seen different brands of chocolate flavored wine at some stores over the last few years and always thought it sounded gross. I like wine, and those who’ve been reading this blog for a while know that I love chocolate… but chocolate flavored wine? Eewww!
Then on a recent sampling shopping trip to Sam’s Club, they offered samples of this Choco Noir Chocolate Wine Specialty (to thone over 21 only of course!) and I thought I’d give it a try. I could always kill the taste with one of the other samples they offered that day, right? But you know what? It was surprisingly good! So good, that we bought a bottle. There’s no wine taste and it just tastes like thick liquid chocolate with a kick. Yum!

You could pour it over ice cream? I bet it’s really sweet. Do you have a favorite Pinot Noir? I’ve read recently about it’s super food properties.

Yes, I bet it would be good on ice-cream. Haven’t tried it yet, and we’re out of chocolate wine. Guess we’ll have to pick up some more 😉

I actually just heard about chocolate wine for the first time over the weekend. I don’t typically drink, so I didn’t try it – but if I get a chance, I may have to try this one – sounds delicious!! 🙂

It is!! Just be warned that it’s pretty thick, and tastes best when it’s really cold.

I actually saw this the other day and was kinda like ewww….but then I was like hmmm….LOL! I’m glad to know you think it was good…I might have to pick some up!

my bff serves a desert with ice cream, caramel and choco wine and a cherry… it is delightful!! now i’m hungry…
