2011/305: Bur Oak

These are no ordinary acorns…. they’re HUGE! Almost twice the size or a regular acorn.

  1. As a bit of useless information: There is a tiny don’t blink burg called Burr Oak in the county where I live… I believe they did name this place after your bur acorn.

    I love their crazy “hair”! I have never seen these! Do they end up looking like a regular acorn, like Doreen said, or do they fall off the tree in this form?
