2012/028: The Chase….And A Fantasy
Sally doesn’t look too happy! π
I can’t remember what prompted me to photograph this little scene (a moment of desperation, because I couldn’t find anything else to photograph?), but it does kinda sorta have to do with a fantasy of mine, because I would love to take my car out on a race course sometime and just gun it, see how fast it can go. Actually, what I’d really like to do, is get my previous car back (Nissan Rogue…. still miss it, even if it did have “issues”) and take thatΒ out on the race track. That little car has some get-up-and-go! It would leave any ol’ Hyundai Santa Fe (my current car) in the dust π
And if there was one thing I could do while passed out cold, it would be to get a tattoo.
If there was one thing… anything at all… that you could do, what would it be?
Haha.. You have the STRANGEST ideas of what cars to take on a race track.. If it’s a fantasy, at least take someone else’s car (and NO, not mine!).. lol.. As for me, I’d just go for having the bog standard super powers… Yanno, invisibility.. The ability to stop time.. Instantly travel to any point on the globe at any point in time past, present or “future”… lol… Just the normal everyday stuff.. Oh, and I’ve always wanted to go skiing.. π

Haha, well my car is available…. just need to find a way to sneak into the race track when no one is looking π
Skiing? That shouldn’t be too big of a problem. I’ve been once (on a week long class trip to Austria in 6th grade). You didn’t miss much. I actually prefer cross-country skiing (better for taking the camera with you, too! π )

I had that fantasy about my previous car too – it was a 1996 Chevy Impala and that baby could fly! (Got pulled over several times too -oops!) We still have the car, as it is a modern-day classic according to my husband, and someday it will be restored, also according to my husband. I’ve thought about tattoos too, but I don’t have the guts! It would have to be something pretty, but I don’t know what it woud be or where I would put it. I also have this little fantasy about taking a cross-country photography trip – by myself! No one to tell me where to go or what to do; the thought is a bit scary at the same time for the obvious safety reasons.

Cross-country would be a little boring for me, I’d have to go around the world… and with a photographer friend would be more fun, too π But yeah, no one who would get impatient that I wanted to stop AGAIN to take pictures.

You’ve seen more of this country than I have, for sure! But yes, now that you mention it, with a photography buddy would probably be the best way to do it!

I have? Well that’s just sad, considering I’ve only lived here 25 years (Only!! OMG, that’s a long time!!).
When you do go, I can probably suggest a few places to skip… like Texas! π

Interesting. I have a feeling you can fulfill this fantasy (well minus that car…seriously?!?!? (lol). The next town over has street car night on Fridays and if the wind is blowing right, we can hear on our deck….George and I use to go when we were dating. His fastest car was a buick T type..omg was that car fast! and loud, I could hear him a mile away coming to my house.
There is also a track a little bit away that let’s you on the track as well as a fantasy car rental.
So, either you come backt to Jersey to get this done or look in your area…check that baby off your bucket list.
For me, hmm.

The obvious for me would be to travel the world. but if that’s too broad, I’d go w/ Africa. And Hawaii π .

I’m going to get a tattoo, just not sure when, maybe this year? No surprise but it will be a flower. My husband used to race vintage autos. Also, I gifted him race time on a Richard Petty race track a few years ago, there must be a track around you somewhere, they do them at the NASCAR tracks.
Not sure what my fantasy would be, I’ll have to think about it. I would like to go to Alaska and see/touch/photograph the Redwoods.

What fun!! Love the colorful image!

I get the impression that you have seen more than I have from your travel posts. I’ve been to all the New England states, parts of NY and PA, and flown to Florida and California. That’s it. Never been to any Great Lakes or National Parks or the Rocky Mountains or the Grand Canyon or any part of the northwest. Those are places I’d love to see and photograph.

You’re a funny girl. Racing my car (It’s a 4WD with a turbo) would never feature in my fantasy! Getting inked would be pretty low on my list.
Given my current lifestyle, a weekend away by myself with a good book, room service, and a massage would be classed as fantasy. π

not sure what i would do but I do know it would never be getting a tattoo!!! LOL

Well…many car clubs do rent out race tracks. You know like Mustang clubs. Real sports cars you see. π If you go to Walt Disney World you can drive exotic sports cars on their race track. Check it out: http://www.exoticdriving.com/
