This was one of our plum trees last week….now most of the flowers are gone, and it’s beginning to look green.

  1. Wow! Full bloom already! I think things might pop early around here too. How early is this for you? Or is it fairly typical?

    • Thanks, KD 🙂 Yeah, this is pretty normal for us.

  2. I’m always amazed how short the bloom period is…we have a dogwood in our front lawn that’s beauty is so short-lived.

Yay for flowers and green…boo for all the pollen that comes w/ it 😦

    • The bloom period is even shorter when the wind and rain knock all the blooms off 😦
And yeah, I’m waiting for the itchy eyes to start. Melissa’s allergies have been botheringbherr for a few weeks now, but I’ve been lucky so far. It’s only a matter of time, though…

  3. A beautiful tree. Too bad the blooms don’t last long. Seems like the prettiest trees don’t. Glad I don’t have allergies; not yet anyway. I would hate to miss out on the spring beauty.

    • Thank you! Yes, very true…but the short bloom periods make us appreciate the beauty that much more 🙂
I never used to have allergies, until a few years after we moved to TX :-/
