2012/186: The Continuation

End Of The Road? What end of the road?
Honestly, I did think about giving up blogging and just sticking with Stuart and Trevor’s Excellent Adventures because there’s no pressure to post something every day. Daily blogging had become such a chore, and the fact that I was running out of pictures to post because I felt no inspiration or desire whatsoever to pick up the camera, didn’t exactly help matters either.
It felt pretty good at first…not having the blog to worry about every day…. but I admit, the longer I was gone, the more I started to miss it, and quitting in the middle of the year was bugging me a bit, too, and I’m thinking that I should at least finish the current 365 (or in this year’s case 366 😉 ).
So here I am… out of hiding… making it look like I was never gone in the first place (OK, once I’m caught up to the current date, it will look like I was never gone 😉 ). No telling if I will be back for good, or if I will disappear again at some point, but for now I’m back.

    • Hmm… I think you might be right!
Is it a good thing or a bad thing to come back from vacation with more pictures from the iPhone than the DSLR??!!

      • I have the largest storage capacity iPhone and I filled it on Monday. I had to delete several photos but they were crap anyway, more work to do.

        • You FILLED it in ONE DAY??!!! Wow!! Do you have the 4 or the 4s?
I was worried that I would run out of space during our vacation, but have all the pictures uploaded to Zenfolio, where I could have downloaded the originals to my pc once we got home, so I wasn’t TOO worried. (I also have a lot less apps on the iPhone than I have on the iPad)

I’m so glad you are back M! I missed you, daily. 🙂

  3. I know what you mean about blogging becoming a chore at times – and I wasn’t even doing it every day! Definitely take a break when you feel it’s necessary, maybe even snap a photo or two every day, but don’t blog about them until you feel like you want to. It shouldn’t become something that you “have” to do. We have enough “have-tos” in our lives!! I have enjoyed your series lately, though!! 😉

    • Thanks, Holly.
I don’t *actually* blog every day either… I schedule a bunch of posts to publish automatically, but it’s still time consuming…. and this being a photography blog, I really need at least ONE picture per post 😉
Oh, and very rarely do I take pictures and post them right away. They usually get edited and saved in a folder, waiting to end up on the blog one day.

  4. I’m so glad you’re back. 🙂 But Trevor is looking a little overwhelmed with beauty.

    • Thanks, Robin, it feels good to be back 🙂
Overwhelmed with beauty? Trying to hide from the camera is more like it! 😉

  5. Hi there! Glad you are back. Holly’s right – you should never feel like you “have to” blog. We started this stuff for fun, right? I’m going to have to check my link situation. I saw your “I’m Back” on FB, and the link worked to get over here but when I tried from my blogroll, this post wasn’t there. Weird, huh? Love Trevor hiding in the daisies!

    • Thanks, Karen 🙂
That’s odd that the post wasn’t there when you came over from your blog roll…..wonder if it’s something I did?? I scheduled a whole bunch of posts on Sunday and publised them privately, so all I have to do is switch them to public. Maybe that has something to do with it?? You SHOULD see three other posts that were published after this one.

  6. Well it’s not ALL good news yanno !!… Poor Trevor has hayfever !!.. and you go stuff him in the midst of all those flowery type things !!… Somebody call the Danbo Support Agency…

    • I think you may have Trevor confused with Stuart (it’s OK, they do look a lot alike!) cos Trevor does NOT have hayfever! I didn’t stuff him in the flowers either… didn’t you read my reply to Robin where I told her that he was trying to hide from the camera? If he had hayfever, he woud have hidden behind the couch or in the bread box or something 😉

      Thanks, Brian.
