2012/218: Cloud Gate
Cloud Gate is something I’ve been wanting to see for years, and this summer we finally took the time to stop in Chicago to see it. Not a lot of time because it was soooo hot and humid out, even at 9 or 10 am, when we were there (the bright side was that we didn’t have to sacrifice one of the kids to pay the outrageous parking fee 😉 )
Cloud Gate is really amazing, and if you’re anywhere near Chicago, it’s worth the time to go see it.
You got some great shots of this! And not many people were there to get in the pics. Great job! I love Chicago.

Thanks, Bonnie. I think we got lucky and were there early enough to avoid most of the people. I can’t stand a crowd of people in my pictures LOL

I’d forgotten that’s what it’s called. I saw it and thought, “The Bean!!” lol! You got some marvelous shots. I really, really like the last one where it seems nestled in the greenery. 🙂

Thanks, Robin 🙂
I didn’t even KNOW what it was called!!! LOL
That last shot was on our way back to the car, and when I saw the bean peeking through the trees, I just HAD to take a picture.

Yes, it was definitely worth the wait….just wish it hadn’t been so darn hot and humid.
