2012/228: Presque Isle Harbor Breakwater Light

Luckily the lucky shot wasn’t the only one I got of Presque Isle Harbor Breakwater Light. We did get a bit closer, although we decided NOT to walk out to the lighthouse. We could have….and most certainly would have, if the waves hadn’t been crashing over the pier. Didn’t want to risk getting the camera wet.

  1. Hey! I know where this is! I even have a photograph of it somewhere on my blog…I think…

    • You’ve been in Marquette often enough I would hope you know where this is! 🙂
Might have to do some searching next time I’m over on your blog.

      • If you can’t find it, I could do some searching, too. Meeting with a blog reader for dinner tonight at the Hilltop Restaurant. Also just got an email that ANOTHER blog reader–Heather–whom I met in June was headed through L’Anse on her way to the Porcupine Mountains. Invited her & her husband for dinner, too, but they’re already through L’Anse. Maybe on the way back?

        • How exciting that you get to meet another blog reader tonight! Hopefully things will work out that you get to meet up with Heather again, too 🙂

    • Nah, without the camera it would have been fine to walk out to the lighthouse, just a little wet 🙂

  4. There is a Presque Isle in Maine as well so I had to look up the meaning of Presque and it is French for ‘almost’.

    • Haha, shows how muh French I remember 😉 I had no idea.
