Oh dear, bright colors! As pretty as they are, we know what that means – fall is coming. I suppose down there in Hell, er, I mean, Texas, that’s a good thing! π
I spotted a few trees today with red wreathing the tops and sighed. Finally an end to this long, hot summer. I think the birds are getting anxious as well, flocking together, hundreds and hundreds of them. I believe the red-winged black birds have traveled further south.
I am looking forward to getting an image soon that, I hope, is a lovely as yours!
Thank you so much, Cyndi. I’m sure your photo will turn out beautiful π
Everything is still very green here in Texas…of course (sadly) we don’t get all the beautiful fall colors, just a little bit here and there.
We are still quite green here as well, but it seems a bit unusual to see the color in August already and to see the large flocks of birds. I am hoping for a very snowy winter – our rivers, streams and lakes need it desperately.
The beautiful colors are warnings of colder and darker times. There are not many days to the calendar says autumn. But I would like to have a little more summer time…………
Great image! Have you ever seen Mike Shaw’s ‘Leaf Series’ pictures?

Yes, it WOULD be a good thing, except that – unfortunately – this was a looong way from Texas in Michigan.
