2012/254: Big Bay Point Lighthouse
The day we went to Big Bay Point Lighthouse was one of the more relaxed days of our vacation. That’s all we had planned that day. We left the hotel mid morning and made it to Big Bay just in time to eat lunch at the Thunder Bay Inn (the food was very good!) and then made our way to the lighthouse, which is run as a bed & breakfast. Tours were supposed to be available although no one seemed to be around.
The lighthouse is also for sale (for a mere $1,275,000). So…..if anyone has $1.2 million lying around and doesn’t know what to get me for my Birthday in February, this would be a great idea! 😉
what a neat looking lighthouse! How many days were you gone? Did the girls enjoy all these lighthouses?

Isn’t it pretty? And the view was gorgeous!!!
We were gone for 16 days… I think they did enjoy the lighthouses 🙂

It would be so cool to live there. I hope someone buys it for you!

Dammit.. Sorry, just bought it, but accidentally put MY name on the paperwork… Guess I’ll just have to have it now… Don’t panic though, I’ll buy you some chocolates instead.. 🙂

Well… we can fix that little oops with YOUR name instead of MINE on the paperwork. It’s easy!! Then I’ll even let you live there for free (in that little room in the tower where the light is… and I’ll change your name to Rapunzel. Oh…wait… was Rapunzel the one with the hair??)
In the meantime, I’ll take those chocolates 🙂

I will not make an offer on the Big Bay lighthouse. Am trying to remember if I’ve ever seen it during our visits to Big Bay. Probably…

LOL I don’t think Brian would accept your offer anyway….and if he does, then he’ll just have to buy me a different one 😉

Another cool week here at your blog, Michaela! (find myself falling behind a lot lately as we get back into the swing of school etc..) I love the lighthouses – they remind me of summer.

Thanks Karen….I’m a bit behind on blogs, too…
I’d love to see these lighthouses in the winter, when there’s lots of snow 🙂

I gotta start playing the lottery. I’d love to live in that lighthouse. 🙂
