What do I do to get away from the kids who are out of school for the summer, and the husband who’s working from home?
Go to the Dallas Arboretum for some quality me-time of course! The heat & humidity and being eaten alive my mosquitoes was well worth it. And, thanks to the many, many pictures I took, this blog was saved from a sudden death 😉
Did I mention how much I love my iPhone and its camera?? I’ve probably gotten more use out of it in the 2 1/2 months I’ve had it than my old phone (LG EnV3) in the 2 1/2 years I’ve had it!
Wasn’t looking too pleasant on Wednesday evening… a storm complete with thunder & lightning, torrential rain, and hail.
Taken with my iPhone and fisheye lens.
Found this little lady on the window of my back door one morning. Of course that called for a little iPhotoshoot 😉
Evil may have
rained reigned for most of that day, but in the end, Good always wins.
After almost 9 1/2 years, we’ve replaced our couch recently. The old one we put in the yard, and it didn’t take long for someone to snatch it up for $50.
Clouds like these always made me look forward to walking Sara to school every morning….but I’m still glad that today is the last day of school 😉
Sara’s takin’ a bath
(and let me take some pictures!)
I’m adding tags to some old posts, and Google Reader seems to think they are all new. Hopefully anyone with an e-mail subscription to my blog isn’t getting flooded with “new” posts from me. I apologize if this is happening. (Of course the posts might be new to you if you haven’t been around for that long 😉 )
I promise I’m almost done…. only about a month and a half’s worth of posts to go.
… we’re leaving on vacation soon, and can bring back some new friends for those lonely three wine bottles left in our wine rack 😉
These are all from last year’s vacation.
Kick And A Pat, Sweet Lady Red, and You’Re Making Me Blush from Southern Hills Winery in Osceola, Iowa
Blackberry Wine, White Cloud, and Raspberry Wine from Summerside Vineyards in Vinita, Oklahoma. These were my favorites, along with The Good Life
The Good Life, and Live For The Moment from Whispering Meadows Winery in McAlester, Oklahoma
These are GOOD!! (Much better than those Hershey Kisses I posted yesterday!) Made with real rum, not just rum flavoring like they would use here in the US for rum balls that you could buy at a grocery store.
They were one of my birthday presents from my best friend…. and didn’t last long 😉 I’m so lucky that my birthday isn’t in the summer, when anything chocolate sent through the mail would be a melted mess!
