2014/150: Memories Of Spring
Seems odd to say this, since it isn’t even officially summer yet, but it sure feels like it… and the tulips are long gone.
2014/149: And The Winner Is…
A few days ago I had a little note card giveaway on this blog, and out of the 30-something people who qualified, only six entered. I was hoping for a few more, but I’m sure those six were happy about their chances of winning 😉
I had my daughter Sara help me pick the winner, which she was more than happy to do. She even provided her sun hat to put the names in, and I thought I’d take a little video of the drawing. I apologize for the sudden ending…seems that I’ve trimmed a couple of frames too many off the video (oops!)…. but I think you can still see the name of he winner if you don’t blink at the very end 😉
But before we get to the video, here is an image of one of the note cards included in the set.

It’s been such a long time since I’ve done one of these, and Kathy’s recent giveaway inspired me to do my own again.
So today I’m giving away a set of 10 (blank inside) note cards, each with a different photograph of mine. Which ones will remain a mystery until the lucky winner will receive his / her prize 😉

2014/137: Spread The Love
Mmmmm, Marmite! I tried it on a “you should try it” not-quite-dare and was told it’s either a love-it or hate-it thing. I have to admit it tasted a bit strange at first. Very strange! I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it either. But at about $6 for a tiny little jar of this stuff, I figured it’s worth another try. And the more I ate of it, the more I liked it. Now I don’t want to live without it! 😉
On Mother’s Day we drove all the way to Grapevine, TX to do a little shopping at the British Emporium and I found a giant 500g jar of it! That should last me a week or two 😉
What about you? Have you tried Marmite? Do you love it? Hate it?
Lucky for me, hubby is not a big fan of it and the kids flat out refuse to try it. Oh well, more for me (all for me!!)
2014/133: One For Luck

And yes, it’s a real four-leaf clover. No cheating! I was lucky enough to find it one evening in my front yard. We had just come home from the store or from dinner….or somewhere, I don’t remember anymore. I got out of the car, and happened to look down when this little guy reached up his arms and said “Pick me! Pick me!”….. so I did 🙂
Had to take some pictures of it first, and then went back out front to look for more, but nope, this one seemed to be the only one.
