…in the making of these photos.
Some of you may remember this post from last year. Well, I finally got around to doing a little experiment and was quite pleased with the way it turned out. Thankfully it didn’t burn as fast as I thought (or was afraid) it would, and I had several shots to choose from. I was also afraid that I would have to sacrifice my favorite cookie cutter (not that I actually ever make cookies with, it’s strictly for photography purposes 😉 ) but thankfully it’s still good as new.
…and all that’s left are the charred remains of my heart
Once again I have to thank Brian for his help. Not with editing this time, but settings advice….even though I almost regretted listening to him and shooting in RAW. Thanks, friend 🙂
… on fire!
* A big thank you to Brian and his editing skills, for perfecting the edges of the heart. It was a bit sloppy, with matches gone wild in the original!
He wasn’t skilled enough to light my heart, though, the flames were added by me 😉
*edited to add the “before” version:
Ok, so maybe they’re not world famous, but everyone who ever tried them, LOVED them! They taste even better than they look!
After the loong day at Mall of America, we went back to the hotel to rest up a little before getting together with our niece and her boyfriend again. We looked up the DDD diner we wanted to go to, and unfortunately they weren’t open for dinner… or were closed on Mondays, something like that. So, we had to scratch another diner off our list.
We ended up having dinner at Cossetta’s, an Italian Restaurant in St. Paul, and then we all went to our niece’s house. We sat by the fire, had a glass of wine or beer, and the kids played with the dogs again, and later on the Wii, getting addicted to Mario Cart. Another really nice evening with family.
