We spent Christmas in Pensacola Beach Florida and it was really cold, with temperatures in the 30’s in the morning, and in the 40’s (possibly in the low 50’s) and really windy. But this isn’t snow, it’s a snowy-white beach.
On our way back home from Michigan we spent a night in Duluth, Minnesota, and visited some lighthouses before getting back on the road the next morning. The first lighthouse we went to was Duluth North Pierhead Light.
You didn’t really think you’d see a “real” portrait, did you?? 😉
This was taken in Marquette, Michigan
This is Buckingham Fountain in Chicago, Illinois. I’ve always wanted to see it up close, but had completely forgotten about it on our recent trip. We were going to another destination (to be revealed in my next post) and I had no idea that we would pass right by Buckingham Fountain…even if it was a couple of traffic lanes away.
I was taking pictures of the Chicago skyline as we were driving (I wasn’t the one driving!!) when I spotted the fountain. Of course by then we were already right there and I had no time to adjust the settings on my camera…..I didn’t even have time to focus, and just snapped a couple of shots out of the passenger side window, hoping they would turn out. I would say they did, wouldn’t you? 😉
