2014/019: Christmas Sunrise
A beautiful sunrise at the beach is the next best thing to a white Christmas (to me anyway 😉 )
2014/015: Christmas Eve Sunrise
I always wake up really, really early, and if you’re at a hotel right on the beach, what better to do than bundle up and head out into the cold to photograph the sunrise? It was just me, myself and I that morning.
And the view from our room….a bit after the sunrise, and after breakfast and a hot cup of coffee or two to warm up
2012/256: Another Marquette Sunrise
Definitely would have been worth getting up early for if I hadn’t been up already 😉
2012/153: The Walk To School
Clouds like these always made me look forward to walking Sara to school every morning….but I’m still glad that today is the last day of school 😉
2012/050: January Sunrise (3)
From January 28, 2012
Two of my favorites from the series… did I not say in the Teaser, that it was a sunrise worth photographing? 😉
The pictures don’t even do it justice…
2012/048: January Sunrise (2)
From January 28, 2012
One of my favorites…. a reflection of the sunrise in my car’s hood. (Can you see the shot I missed?)
2012/038: Bonus – Teaser
Promised a friend that I would post a sunrise shot today 🙂
This was taken on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 7:01 am. It was a cold morning, only in the 30’s, and of course in my rush out of the house, when I realized that we were going to have a sunrise worth photographing (and was it ever!!!! ♥), I left my gloves at home. I was only out there for about 20 minutes, but by the time I got back into the car, I couldn’t feel my fingers anymore…. but it was well worth it!
So, here’s a little teaser of things to come… and the pictures won’t even do the real thing justice (they wouldn’t, even if I had a Canon! ;-))
2011/319: Sunrise And Fog
This was on our last day of our recent Oklahoma getaway. We left the hotel (not so) bright and (very) early, because we had a long drive ahead of us, with lots of back roads, and still one last scheduled stop on our list.
I made Greg pull over so I could get out of the car for these shots. Something I usually don’t ask him to do.
Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!
Who would have thought that Texas would get snow – in March!!! It snowed a little bit last night, and I was outside around 6:45 am to take some pictures before it all melts again. I fully expect it to be gone by Noon.
This was my front yard this morning, as the sun came up.
One of our redbud trees, snow already starting to melt
And again my front yard. Took this after we dropped Melissa off at school, it looked so pretty with the sun across the snow.
Sunrise
This was taken a few days ago. The kids came running into the computer room to tell me how pretty it looked outside, so I grabbed the camera and went outside to take some pictures…. and then took it with me when we drove Melissa to school.
