Fascinating. Does someone live in it or is it just for display?

I just visited the website and I’m guessing that no one lives in it since it’s open for tours on the weekend.

Nope, no one lives there anymore.

The story was that it started out because the guy didn’t want to mow his yard anymore. He started all the yard concrete decorations. Then it was the curtains along the front and sides. Because the curtains offered so much sun protections (lowering his A/C bill)and because he never wanted to paint it again he decided to side the house. He told his wife it would be just a border but kept on going and as it progress the energy bill kept dropping. It is a walk through beer can technology and brands but very noisy.

Thanks Honey 🙂 Guess you paid more attention to that bit of video we saw than I did. All I remember is that she let him do whatever he wanted with the outside, as long as she got to do what she wanted with the inside of the house.

It was really neat, Doreen. I would have loved to take pictures inside, though. They had some beer cans on display (some that I’ve never seen or even heard of), and you could see his workshop, and tools he used. There was more of his “art” displayed inside the house, too.

LOL.. Well I think creating it must have been a blast, but I’m not sure I’d want to live their when the wind is blowing…

Looked like it was a LOT of work, too! It was windy when we were there, and it sounded like a giant windchime.

Thank you! If I remember correctly, that was the “chain link” fence…. or could have been a gate.

Wow. I would LOVE to see this place, but I better not take my husband along or he’ll get ideas. 😉
All of the shots are good, but I especially like the last three. Wonderful!

LOL If he gets any ideas, just threaten to paint the house when he’s done…. pink! 😉
Thanks, Robin. Those last three are my favorites, too.
