The Car is….
STILL NOT FIXED!!!! They’ve replaced the wiring harness this time, but that didn’t help. And again.. the easiest and cheapest thing (re-flashing the computer) was NOT done. They’re just a bunch of incompetent morons at this place.
Two pictures I took this morning. Started the car, fuel gauge showed full. Turned the car around to face it the other way, turned off ignition and immediately started the car again… fuel gauge shows one notch below 3/4 tank. That’s some crappy gas mileage if driving less than 0.2 miles uses 1/4 tank of gas!
We’re DONE with this place now. We will be calling Nissan Consumer Affairs to give them an update, and to let them know that we will be taking the car to a different dealer. At least all the things they broke/scratched are fixed.
Except for the fact the gauge doesn’t work, it’s a cool gauge. 🙂 Yeap, that’s a guy comment.
Time for that window paint you were talking about? BTW, I think you can tell us the name of the dealer now. Time to let the world know they suck.

Yes, it’s time all the potential car buyers in North Texas know where NOT to buy…. or take their car for service!! In honor of the crappiest car dealer, and employer of the dumbest mechanics in this area, I’ve registered another blog:

I meant to add… cool gauge? The gauges in the 2009 Chevy Malibu that we had as a rental this time around were much cooler than this one! They were all analog and when you started the car, they went from all the way on the left to all the way on the right, to all the way on the left again, and then the lights (on the gauges) turned on. Now THAT was cool! 😉
It was a pretty darn nice car, not that I would have considered buying it. But it was fun to drive.

Unbelievable! I will never buy a car there that for sure! You should post about this on our local message board.

Oh man, this really stinks…

Yikes! How frustrating! I’m so sorry this is happening, I hope consumer affairs will help you sort this out.

Not yet, Amy. There is still one thing that they haven’t tried. And, I’m convinced that it’s a case of extreme stupidity on the service department’s part. We found a dealership with a much higher customer rating (4.6/5) and will be taking it there.
Nissan of McKinney got a customer rating of 1.8/5!!!!! Wishe we would have known that before we bought the car.

I will definitely be checking Customer service ratings before we purchase again. How did you find out their ratings?

Amy, I googled the dealership and one of the links that came up was customer ratings.
